We are please to put on record that we have retained the services of Mr Bruce Baker to supervise the installation of the longest single flight overland conveyor in the world today.
The project was accomplished by a consortium comprising Larsen & Toubro, India (the Principal), NILOS India (the Customer) and G&F Beltline (NILOS Australia) Perth as installation consultants.

Bruce Baker represented NILOS India and G&F Beltline towards Larsen & Toubro and coordinated and supervised the installation of 30km steelcord belt manufactured by Phoenix Germany and India.
The difficulty of this task is documented by the fact that the entire conveyor system is erected 5 – 12m high, without walkways and through most difficult swampy terrain.
The conveyor system had to traverse the Indian Bangladesh border over a 17 klm distance.

We are very impressed with Bruce Baker’s professional conduct and his prudent on site diplomacy towards the various Indian and Bangladeshi nationals and their often conflicting interests.
His adaptability and tolerance to the physically demanding living and operating environment been commendable.

I became acquainted with Bruce Baker in early 1991, when the Pac-Rim Company had a high demand, large volume crushing contract at Mt. Leyshon Gold Mine, Queensland.

Bruce Baker's company was contracted to do the conveyor and conveyor maintenance along with the supply of spare parts and materials. Another high demand crushing contract at Tick Hill in far Western Queensland, was also serviced by his company. Understanding the contractual demands, his services to these operations was excellent.

On completion of the Mt. Leyshon contract, I then transfered to the Mt. Todd Gold Mine in the Northern Territory. Knowing Bruce Baker's commitment and understanding of the industry, I had no hesitation in acquiring his services at this new operation.
